History/Background Information: A scarce 1/2 Pond struck for the ZAR in the year 1892. Double Shaft wagon variety with "os" initials on Kruger's bust. Short lived series issued between 1892 and 1897. Struck to the same specifications as the British Half Sovereign.

Condition Notes: An exceptional coin with quality exceeding its grade. Rich gold patination topped with whirling cartwheel lustre. A coin only fully appreciated in hand. Scarce.
