History/Background Information: A scarce series issued between 1892 and 1897 with this being the first year of strike. Struck in Berlin for the ZAR.

Condition Notes: A "commercial unc" coin, the type that had it not been slabbed would be considered to be uncirculated. No wear visible to the naked eye and hourglass lustre apparent across the devices.
