History/Background Information: Scarcer of the two varieties of the gold one pond issued in 1892. Issued as the "corrected" version of the 1892 double shaft pond and one of the "big five" of ZAR coinage. 

Certification: NGC XF45 (Extremely Fine)

Condition Notes: Exceedingly rare and seldom found in the market place. Wtih an unknown mintage, the frequency at which this coin appears for sale suggests a low figure. This articular piece is wholly original, with details showing wear but not heavily so. Conservatively graded as XF, I've handled AU coins that don't look this good. A rare find.
