History/Background Information: A scarce gold 1 Pond struck in the ZAR in the year 1893. Struck to the same specifications as the British sovereign. Struck shortly before the second Anglo-Boer War. 


Certification: NGC AU58 (Choice About Uncirculated)


Condition Notes: A stunning choice about unc example virtually a mint state coin. This is the type of coin that would be considered unc had it not been graded. A "premium" AU58. Rare in such quality. Very few graded finer and seldom found in this state.
