History/Background Information: A scarce 1/2 Pond struck for the ZAR in the year 1895. Short lived series issued between 1892 and 1897. Struck to the same specifications as the British Half Sovereign.

Condition Notes: A superb coin in every respect. Strikingly lustorus with minimal to no wear present. Very attractively toned and struck on a rich gold planchet. A "commercial unc" coin, the type of coin that would be considered unc had it not been graded. Rare.
