History/Background Information: 100 Pound Pretoria issue of the ZAR government (Gouvernements Noot). Issued against the security of state owned farms with a 6% interest. Hand signed by the Auditor General (JS Marais) and Treasurer General (NS Malherbe). Dated 28.5.1900.

Condition Notes: Variety with spade border and with "NO" in the serial number. An impressive example. Retaining all the bold characteristics of the type even though a little used. A beautiful note with an incredible history.
