History/Background Information: 1 Pound consecutive pair Te Velde issue of the ZAR government (Gouvernements Noot). Issued against the security of state owned farms with a 6% interest. Hand signed by the Acting Auditor General (AP Brugman) and Acting Treasurer General (PN De Villiers). Dated 1.5.1902 and printed on exercise/ledger paper. Certified Uncirculated 62 and 63.

 

Condition Notes: A truly impressive pairing containing the vertical lines watermark. Rare and seldom offered in uncirculated form leave alone consecutive pairing. Beautiful notes with an incredible history.
