History/Background Information: 1 Pound issue of the South African Reserve Bank dated 1921 being the rarer of the two first issue dates. First issue of WH Clegg.

Condition Notes: A scarcely seen first issue of the first reserve bank governor. In admirable condition, with printed details still fully visible and the governor's signature particularly bold. Printed in perfect registration with English on one side and Dutch the other. Rare. Condition about very fine.
