History/Background Information: 100 Pound issue of the South African Reserve Bank dated 1952. Third and only issue of governor MH de Kock. Fondly referred to as the "Big Blue" amongst collectors, this huge issue occupies a special place in the numismatic psyche. This denomination would have represented a considerable sum of money at the time of issue and as a result, only a small number of notes were printed and circulated.

Condition Notes: A scarcely seen issue. In admirable condition, paper still crisp and bright with an appearance far superior to the VF25 assigned grade. Very attractive coloration. Extremely rare.

Printage: 30 000 (15 000 of each language alternative)
